Hoof hardener
New label, new sizes, exactly the same product, ingredients and formula:
You will notice some changes to the labelling but don’t worry this is exactly the same product that Red Horse Products have been making for years. They have updated the labels to meet labelling regulatory requirements. Meaning they have omitted some labelling elements that are not mandatory and added others that are. Red Horse Products still use the same quality ingredients in the same high concentrations!
Stronghorn spray nourishes and toughens horn tissue and is a powerful hoof-cleansing agent.
Its spray-on formula makes it easy to apply and more convenient than many paint-on hoof hardeners which come in narrow-based bottles that are easy to knock over.
INSTRUCTIONS
Clean the hoof. Spray product onto the underside of hoof and around any nail clenches, avoiding the frog unless it is very soft. Apply daily until improvement is shown and then phase to weekly applications over time. For best results allow to dry prior to work or turnout.

MSM – A naturally occurring source of sulphur to promote the growth of healthy hoof tissue.
Elemi Oil – An essential oil with antibacterial and antifungal properties.
Natural Surfactants – To maintain product consistency.
Is Stronghorn easy to apply?
Yes, very 2-4 sprays per foot is all it needs, a little time on a dry surface to allow it to soak in is advised.
Should I use a hoof disinfectant like Sole Cleanse too?
No, Stronghorn is a powerful antibacterial in its’ own right so there is no need.
How often should I apply Stronghorn?
Daily at first if possible, then the interval between applications can be increased until horses prone to soft soles are having it applied once a week.
Does Stronghorn contain formalin?
No, we don’t believe there is any long term benefit to using formalin on feet so it is not used it in any of the Red Horse products.
